The team

The Art of Living is working toward something unfashionably large: a happier, safer world, built on real human values. Most people meet that mission through its programs and volunteers. Increasingly, they meet it through software — and the technology team is the group that builds it, creating products that help the Foundation reach millions of users across the globe.

We're a small, product-focused team with a grand vision, which makes product judgment one of our scarcest resources: what we choose to build matters as much as how well we build it. We value collaboration, continuous learning, and real-world impact, and we look for people who are genuinely excited to take on challenging problems in a supportive environment.

The role

We're looking for a Product Manager who can own products end-to-end — from discovery to delivery — for applications used by millions. You'll sit at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and engineering, turning fuzzy problems into products people love.

What you'll do

You'll define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area, aligned to the Art of Living's mission and to measurable outcomes. That starts with discovery: talking to users, analyzing behavior, and validating problems before anything gets built — distinguishing what's worth building from what merely sounds good.

You'll write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and ruthlessly prioritize a backlog against impact, effort, and limited resources. Delivery is a daily partnership with engineering and design — through discovery, sprint planning, and launch — where you remove blockers and keep the team pointed at outcomes rather than output.

Decisions here run on evidence. You'll define success metrics, instrument them, and use the data to decide what to build, keep, or kill. You'll keep leadership, program teams, and other stakeholders aligned, communicating trade-offs and progress clearly. And you'll own go-to-market for your features, closing the loop with post-launch analysis and iteration.

What you bring

You have four to seven years in product management, ideally on consumer-facing or high-scale products, with a proven ability to run user research and translate insight into product decisions.

You're comfortable with prioritization frameworks — RICE, impact/effort, and the like — and, more importantly, with making hard calls on incomplete information. You're fluent with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics: you can read a funnel and form a hypothesis. You collaborate credibly with engineers — you understand APIs, system trade-offs, and what's cheap versus expensive to build — and you've run product development in an agile environment.

Your written and verbal communication is exceptional. You can tell the story of why a product matters, to any audience.

Bonus points

Extra credit for experience with high-scale consumer or mobile apps, a background in mission-driven, nonprofit, or wellness and education products, design sensibility and comfort in tools like Figma, and SQL or hands-on data analysis.

What we offer

Hybrid working, a supportive and mission-driven environment, and the chance to shape products that reach millions of people and do real good in the world.

What we're searching for

Titles aside, here's the shape of the person we're looking for. You can turn a fuzzy problem into a crisp, buildable spec, and you prioritize ruthlessly when resources are tight. You partner with engineers and speak their language. You decide with data and user insight rather than opinion alone — and you can articulate why a product matters and rally a team around it.
