We build the software behind the world's largest volunteer‑driven NGO.

The Art of Living's programs reach millions of people. The Technology Team builds the products that carry them — the apps, platforms, and donation systems that have to work at the scale of a movement.

What we build

Consumer apps used by millions, the donation and payment flows that fund the mission, and the platforms that keep a global volunteer organization running — web and mobile, built end to end. The problems don't look like anyone else's: the scale of a consumer product, the constraints of a nonprofit, and users who range from first-time smartphone owners to the engineers reading this page.

We hold the work to a simple standard: if it carries the mission, it has to be built well. This site is part of that standard.

Ownership, end to end

We're a small team with a grand vision, so nobody builds behind glass. You design, ship, and operate your systems — from architecture to deployment to the production issue at scale. Your name is on the things you build, and they reach millions.

Continuous learning

Two tenets hold everything up: keep learning, and own what you ship. The stack follows the problem — Node.js and Go on the backend, React and Svelte on the front, PostgreSQL to Cassandra underneath, Prometheus and Grafana watching it all. We pick the best tool for the task, not the most familiar one.

Mission as the filter

The work is demanding and the users are real. What you build here doesn't optimize an ad funnel — it carries programs that exist to make people's lives calmer and safer. We won't outbid the market for you; we intend to outweigh it.
